There is a synergy between leather furniture and hand-knotted rugs (especially geometric Persian designs like Heriz, Yalameh, Bidjar). This extends to Arts and Crafts furniture of every kind; especially that made by Stickley (tm).
This is an easy design technique that always looks elegant and well done.
Keep in mind too that the mating of Persian rugs with A&C furnishings is a much more affordable rug solution than using reproduction Arts and Crafts rugs by Tufenkian(tm), or other "new rug" and "antique reproduction" rug manufacturers.
