(BrandonRugs.com) There's a better way than trial-and-error to figure out the correct size runner to complete your stairway. (In the example here, there's no way sadly to stretch that lovely runner to fit.) A quick rule of thumb to get the right size is to count the number of treads multiply by 1.5 and add 6". That result covers the stairway from the top riser (under the nose of the next floor's landing) to the bottom step's riser finishing just at the floor.
